What is your favourite title of a book?

This will be a short and sweet post because there isn’t really much you can say about the title of a book. My favourite book title would have to be It’s kind of a funny story by Ned Vizzinni.

Synopsis: Ambitious New York City teenager Craig Gilner is determined to succeed at life – which means getting into the right high school to get into the right job. But once Craig aces his way into Manhattan’s Executive Pre-Professional High School, the pressure becomes unbearable. He stops eating and sleeping until, one night, he nearly kills himself.

Craig’s suicidal episode gets him checked into a mental hospital, where his new neighbors include a transsexual sex addict, a girl who has scarred her own face with scissors, and the self-elected President Armelio. There, Craig is finally able to confront the sources of his anxiety.

I like this title because it is telling you that this book will make you laugh but it isn’t giving away anything about the storyline. This is a very good book and another of my top mental health picks.

  1. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. Just the title catches your attention. Who is Harold Fry? Why did he go on a pilgrimage? Why was it unlikely?

The other one I like is The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared.

  2. When “It” by S. King first came out, I had fun with it (“It”). The result ended up like Abbot & Costello’s “Who’s on first” whenever I asked someone if they read it. (“It”)
