There were so many choices for this one. At first I wanted to say Katniss Everdeen because she’s a badass that leads a rebellion. Then I wanted to say Hermoine Granger because who doesn’t love her. But I decided on Tris from the Divergent series.
Synopsis: In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). I chose Tris because throughout this series, she grows so much as a character. You kind of know she has the badass in her from the beginning but as the series goes on she just keeps getting more and more awesome. The leadership and initiative she shows is incredible and she always put those she loves before herself. She truly sacrifices everything to protect those that she loves and that in my eyes is a very strong character. Plus she makes good decisions and can figure people out before they get to her.

Oh, now you’re just being cruel Erik! Like you, Katniss and Hermoine immediately spring to mind, but since I picked Roarke from the In Death series for my favorite male character, I’m going to go with Eve Dallas from the same series. After surviving a horrific childhood, she’s now a kick-ass Lieutenant with the NYPD. She’s inspiring and funny, and you can’t help but love her.😊

Haha yea she was my very close 2nd, only because he character developed but you knew she was a badass to start off. Tris grew into it which I liked.

Fav female character: Buffy. I’m sure there’s lots of books written with her in them now. 🙂
For just books though Jane Whitefield (8 books so far). She’s a Native American guide who helps people disappear and start a new life: women feeling from abusive situations, people who want to make a new start in life but can’t because their past will catch up and kill them, etc. Jane is resourceful, quick thinking, and outwits the people who are either after the person she’s “guiding” or have targeted Jane herself.
When you read the early books you have to remember they were written before cell phones and internet was widely available, otherwise you’re thinking, “That tactic wouldn’t work”. In the later books she reflects just how difficult it has become to hide people, and she goes to great lengths to get off the grid.
Oh man I completely forgot about Buffy!!! She’s been the main badass from the beginning.
I would be interested to see how Jane would hide people now especially with all the technology we have to find people.

Another great female tv character is Veronica Mars. I’m betting someone has written fan-fic doing a cross-over between her and Buffy. No, I haven’t looked. No, I’m not going to look.

Super interesting choice. I haven’t read the Divergent series but it sounds interesting. Favourite female characters of all time, either Nomi from Sense8, Buffy or Sydney Bristow from Alias (I’m a bit of a TV nerd). In terms of just books, definitely Door from Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. Such an interesting character!!!
